If your eSIM is not working as expected, these answers cover the most common issues and how to resolve them.

My QR code will not scan. What should I do?
If your QR code will not scan, try the following steps:
  • Ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection
  • Increase the screen brightness of the device displaying the QR code
  • Adjust the distance between your camera and the code
  • Check the QR code has not already been used for a previous installation
  • Try using the manual activation code instead — details are included in your order email
Manual option

If scanning does not work, enter your eSIM setup details manually. Go to your "Add eSIM" screen and look for a "Use setup code" or "Enter manually" option.

If your eSIM is installed but not providing data, check the following:
  • Confirm the eSIM is turned on in your SIM or mobile data settings
  • Set mobile data to use the eSIM rather than your physical SIM
  • Enable data roaming for the eSIM if required by the plan
  • Confirm you are in a country covered by the plan
  • Restart your phone and check again
  • If no signal is detected, try selecting a network manually in your mobile settings
Check APN settings

Some plans require specific APN settings. If your product instructions include APN details, check these match your phone's mobile data settings.

Some devices display “activating” until the eSIM connects to a supported local network. If you are not yet in the destination country, this may be normal — the eSIM is waiting to find a supported network.

If you are already in the destination and the status remains stuck for more than a few minutes, try restarting your phone. You can also go to mobile settings and try selecting a network manually.
No. Coverage and speeds depend on local network availability, your device settings, location, network congestion, maintenance and other factors outside RoameoGo’s control. We aim to provide accurate plan information, but mobile service cannot be guaranteed in all locations.
Coverage varies

Coverage in major cities and popular tourist areas is generally strong. Rural, remote or mountainous areas may have more limited or inconsistent connectivity depending on the destination.
