RoameoGo eSIM Help Centre

Find help with choosing, installing and using a RoameoGo travel eSIM. A travel eSIM gives a compatible phone mobile data without swapping its physical SIM. Coverage, validity, activation and other features depend on the plan you choose.

Need help with an order or connection? Contact RoameoGo support or email support@roameogo.com. The contact page has the current contact options.

Before you buy

Will my phone work with an eSIM?

Check your exact phone model and the country or region where it was sold, and confirm that it supports eSIM. Your phone must also be unlocked for use with other mobile providers. An up-to-date operating system alone does not confirm compatibility. If you are unsure about a carrier lock, check with the provider that supplied your phone.

Read the device compatibility guide before purchasing.

Which plan should I choose?

Use the destination plan finder and compare the included countries, data allowance, validity and price. For a trip covering several countries, check that every stop is included in the selected plan. Review its network, hotspot and activation details where shown, and contact support before buying if a feature you need is unclear.

Unlimited plans may have a fair-use policy or speed restrictions. Coverage and speed depend on the network, location and conditions; a plan does not guarantee a particular speed everywhere.

Installing and activating your eSIM

What is the difference between installation and activation?

Installation adds the eSIM profile to your phone. Activation is when the plan starts working or its validity begins. These are not always the same event: some plans start on installation, while others start when they connect to a supported network. Read the instructions for your selected plan before installing or turning it on.

How do I install my eSIM?

  1. Connect your phone to a reliable Wi-Fi connection and open the installation instructions supplied with your order.
  2. Use the phone’s Add eSIM or Add mobile plan option and follow the supplied QR-code, link or manual installation instructions.
  3. Give the eSIM a recognisable label, such as “RoameoGo travel”, so you can distinguish it from your usual SIM.
  4. Follow the plan instructions for when to turn it on, select it for mobile data and enable data roaming on that eSIM if required.

Menu names vary by phone. Keep your order instructions available, and do not delete an installed eSIM while troubleshooting unless support asks you to: reinstallation may not be supported.

See the eSIM installation guide.

Using your usual number abroad

Can I keep my normal SIM and phone number?

If your phone supports the required dual-SIM setup, you can keep your normal SIM installed and choose the travel eSIM for mobile data. A data-only travel plan does not replace your usual phone number or include ordinary mobile calls and SMS unless the plan explicitly says so. Internet calling and messaging apps use data.

To help avoid unexpected charges from your home provider, check its roaming terms, turn off data roaming on your normal SIM, and turn off automatic mobile-data switching where available. Calls, SMS, voicemail and other services on your normal SIM may still incur charges. Check with your home provider before using them abroad.

If you cannot get online

  1. Check that you are in a country covered by the selected plan and that the plan has started, has not expired and still has data available.
  2. Check that the RoameoGo eSIM is turned on and selected for mobile data.
  3. Follow your plan instructions for data roaming and any APN settings; do not guess or copy settings from a different plan.
  4. Try turning flight mode on and off, then restarting the phone. If possible, try a location with a stronger signal.
  5. If the problem continues, use Wi-Fi to contact support. Keep the eSIM installed while the issue is checked.

Read the troubleshooting guide.

Orders, top-ups and refunds

I cannot find my order or installation instructions

Check your inbox and spam or junk folder, using the email address entered at checkout. If payment appears to have completed but you cannot find the order, contact support with the order reference or purchase email address before placing another order.

Can I top up or reuse the same eSIM?

Top-ups and reuse depend on the selected plan. Check the instructions and options shown for your order before buying additional data. If a top-up is not offered, ask support whether a new plan or eSIM is required.

How do I request a refund?

Read the refund policy and contact support with your order details and a description of the issue. Eligibility depends on the policy and the circumstances of the order; an installed or used plan is not automatically refundable.
