What makes Premium Europe eSIM different?

Standard travel eSIMs provide a data allowance for browsing, messaging apps and online services. Premium Europe eSIM plans, on selected options, also include the ability to make and receive traditional calls and text messages — useful if you need to contact local businesses, hotels or transport services that may not use messaging apps.

Data-only vs calls and SMS plans

If you primarily use WhatsApp, iMessage or other internet-based messaging and calling apps, a data-only plan will cover most of your needs. If you need to make calls to local landlines or businesses in Europe, or if you want a European phone number that others can reach you on, a plan that includes calls and SMS may be more practical.

Note

If your phone is carrier-locked, a travel eSIM from RoameoGo may not work. Contact your carrier to ask if your phone is locked and whether they can unlock it before your trip. Unlocking policies vary — some carriers do this free of charge, others require your contract term to be complete.

Dedicated European number explained

Certain Premium Europe eSIM plans include a European mobile number that is assigned to your eSIM. This number can be used to make and receive calls and texts while in covered countries. It is a local number, not your home number — which means contacts who call it will reach you directly on the eSIM.
