Malawi eSIM questions, answered

Check the details for the plan you choose. Coverage, activation and features can vary between products.

How do I choose an eSIM for Malawi?

Compare the included data, validity and countries covered. Open the plan details to check its networks, activation conditions and any usage restrictions before buying.

Will an eSIM work on my phone?

Your exact phone model must support eSIM and be unlocked for other networks. Check the manufacturer’s information and your current mobile provider before purchasing.

When should I install my eSIM?

Install using a reliable internet connection and follow the instructions supplied with your order. Installation and the start of the plan’s validity can be different events, so check your specific plan.

When does my plan start?

Activation rules depend on the plan and supplier. Check the plan details and order instructions to find out whether validity begins on installation, activation or connection to a supported network.

Which mobile networks can I use?

The networks shown on each card come from the stored supplier catalogue. Broader coverage plans may list operators across several countries; open the plan details to check the networks relevant to your destination.

Are regional and global plans included?

Where available, use the Regional + Global filter to compare broader coverage options on country pages. Check that every country on your itinerary is included; regional and global labels do not mean every destination is covered.

What does Reusable eSIM mean?

This badge identifies a reusable eSIM profile reported by the supplier. It does not mean that this purchase includes unlimited data or every country. Check eligible destinations and available top-ups for that plan.

Can I top up my eSIM?

A Top-up available label appears only when the supplier catalogue reports top-up support. Availability, packages and prices can change. Keep your order details and follow the top-up instructions for your eSIM.

Can I use hotspot or tethering?

Hotspot support can depend on your plan, handset and network. Check the plan’s specific conditions before relying on it to connect other devices.

Can I keep my normal SIM and number?

Compatible dual-SIM phones can usually keep your normal SIM alongside a travel eSIM. Select the travel eSIM for mobile data and review roaming settings on your normal SIM to avoid unwanted charges.

Does the eSIM include calls or SMS?

Many travel eSIM plans are data only. Calls or SMS are included only when expressly stated in the plan details. Messaging and calling apps use your data allowance where those services are available.

Is unlimited data subject to a fair usage policy?

Unlimited plans can have fair usage, speed or daily high-speed data conditions. Read the specific plan details before buying; the word unlimited alone does not confirm unrestricted full-speed use.

How much data will I need?

Maps, browsing and messages generally use less data than video, cloud backups or hotspot use. Check your recent phone usage and choose an allowance and validity that cover your trip.

Will the eSIM work on a cruise or flight?

Check the plan’s coverage carefully. A destination plan does not by itself include maritime, aircraft or satellite networks. Disable data roaming on unsupported networks.

What should I check if mobile data does not work?

Check that the eSIM is installed, selected for mobile data and enabled. Follow the supplied instructions for data roaming and APN settings, confirm your location is covered and restart the phone if advised.

Should I delete my eSIM after my trip?

Keep the eSIM installed until you have checked the supplied instructions and no longer need it. Some profiles cannot be reinstalled after deletion, and reusable profiles may be useful for future trips.

Where can I get help?

Keep your order reference and contact RoameoGo through the Help Centre. Include your phone model, destination and a description of the issue so the team can investigate.
